Both in terms of size and inhabitants (46.000), Brühl counts among the smaller towns of the Rhein-Erft-Kreis (District). Its 700 retailers and 300 craftsmen businesses, however, are well-known beyond the town limits. Brühl's accessibility is particularly good: Whether you arrive by plane or railway, tram or bus or via the excellent motorway system of the Rhineland - you will feel that Brühl is just a stone's throw away. Not least Brühl's town centre with its historical roots, its variety of businesses, its vast range of cultural and leisure activities and, of course, its complete school structure (including two Fachhochschulen (colleges of higher education) and a School of Music and Arts) attracts an ever growing number of young families to Brühl - and stay here for good!
