Cinema - ZOOM-Cinema
Brühl can look back on a long history of cinematic tradition. As early as 1908, the first "Kinematographisches Theater" (cinematographic theatre) opened its doors in the "Haus zur Krone" at the market. In 1913 the "Moderne Theater" (modern theatre) followed. The "Apollo" opened in 1922, showing the first sound film in 1930. Today, the Zoom-Kino in the town hall shows three to four films every day, including one suitable for children every afternoon.

Bathing Beach Heider-Bergsee
The Heider-Bergsee lake is one of the Ville lakes (Ville being a range of hills in North Rhine-Westphalia) and was formed when lignite surface mining ended in the mid 1930s and the rising water table slowly filled the remaining pits with water. The Heider-Bergsee campsite is located right on the lake and provides bathing beaches, pitches and a restaurant.
