Leisure Time Fun

Brühl has a lot to offer in terms of leisure activities. It's impossible to get bored, whether you decide to join the fun at the Phantasialand theme, amusement and entertainment park, tackle the treetops at Brühl's water tower, glide over the Bleibtreusee lake on skis or take advantage of one of the region's numerous other leisure opportunities.

Phantasialand

Phantasialand is one of Europe's most important theme, amusement and entertainment parks, providing attractions and adventure for all ages. The park offers breathtaking rides and fantastic shows.

Cinema - ZOOM-Cinema

Brühl can look back on a long history of cinematic tradition. As early as 1908, the first "Kinematographisches Theater" (cinematographic theatre) opened its doors in the "Haus zur Krone" at the market. In 1913 the "Moderne Theater" (modern theatre) followed. The "Apollo" opened in 1922, showing the first sound film in 1930. Today, the Zoom-Kino in the town hall shows three to four films every day, including one suitable for children every afternoon.

'Head for Height' climbing complex (Kletterwald 'Schwindelfrei')

The Kletterwald "Schwindelfrei" is a climbing complex run by a Cologne-based company, in the forested area right next to the Brühl water tower on the Liblarer Straße. A total of 80 climbing units challenge both beginners and more advanced climbers. Those brave enough to scale the heights can prove their skills and courage 4, 7 or 9 metres above the ground.

Waterski Site Bleibtreusee

You'll find the Rhein-Erft area's first waterski site in the recultivated forest area at the Bleibtreusee lake, right next to the Luxemburger Straße. The circuit totals 580 metres allowing for a speed of up to 50 km/h. The 8 towing devices pulling you run over a total of 6 masts.

Activity Pool Karlsbad

The KarlsBad is an activity pool and leisure centre located right in the heart of Brühl. It provides an extraordinary aquatic experience and is an ideal destination for families with children.

Bathing Beach Heider-Bergsee

The Heider-Bergsee lake is one of the Ville lakes (Ville being a range of hills in North Rhine-Westphalia) and was formed when lignite surface mining ended in the mid 1930s and the rising water table slowly filled the remaining pits with water. The Heider-Bergsee campsite is located right on the lake and provides bathing beaches, pitches and a restaurant.
